Poisoned Puddle Alert

An article was published in the Wigan Evening Post on 12/09/2011 alerting pet owners about recent poisoning incidents in the Wigan area.

It has been reported that there have been several incidents locally where anti-freeze has been found in puddles (located in residential areas of Wigan). 

Two dogs are thought to have died as a result of drinking from contaminated water puddles.  Pet owners, in particular dog owners, are being advised to take extra precautions when walking their pets.
