Physiotherapy in Animals
We are pleased to announce our co-operation with a fully qualified chartered animal physiotherapist, Cate Benfold.
Physiotherapy can have major benefits for all patients with mobility issues, resulting from spinal or joint problems such as arthritis and also for patients recovering from orthopaedic surgery or nerve damage.
Cate will be able to assess and treat animals at our surgery on Fridays by prior appointment.
Please contact the surgery for more information.
Cate's Introduction:
I am a Chartered Veterinary Physiotherapist specialising in the treatment of small animals, both domestic and athletic.
I trained to become a physiotherapist at Liverpool University and qualified in 1994, ever since I have been working in the NHS within the North West specialising within the field of Stroke and Neurology.
I have always had a passion for animals, and in 2007 undertook training to become a fully qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist. I qualified in 2009 and have been working within both the Human and Animal field since.
I look forward to working alongside the established team within the practice and contributing to the health and well-being of your pets.
